Dreams as an inspiration for your artistic work

Do you usually remember what you dreamt?

Do you like your night dreams or are they more like nightmares and scary or worrying ?

As a kid, I remember, having had a lot of nightmares and woke up screaming until my parents came to reassure me. I dreamt a lot about wars and really horrible situations.

Since I am an adult I am happy to say that I only enjoy nice things happening in my dreams. They usually are very surreal stories with some fragments of my real life and fantasies.

The thing is, I usually forget the main part of my dreams when I wake up. I know it's recommended to write everything down immediately after waking up in order to analyse the dreams but I just love to much to sleep in the morning and resigned from the idea of writing my dreams in my notebook.

I actually accepted the fact that these nightly events are filled with secrets and I embrace the idea of keeping the mystery about all these nocturnal experiences. They inspire me for my art and I will start a new series of paintings and collages called "Pieces of dreams", "Traumstücke" or "Fragments de rêves"
